George “Bub” Benjamin Roush, 80, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at SOMC Hospice. He was born February 13, 1944, in Portsmouth, a son of the late George F. and Belva McCammon Roush, and was an auto body repairman at Pollock’s Body Shop for over 40 years. Bub loved racing at Portsmouth Raceway Park.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn “Susie” Fry Roush; his children, Georgiann (Jason) Roush, Timothy (Jennifer) Roush, Sr., Brenda (Jonathan) Blackford, Robert Roush, Jason Tyler (Brittany) Roush; eleven grandchildren, Megan Roush, Samantha Roush, Timothy (Taylor) Roush, Jr., Evan (Kaylee) Akers, Ashley (Seth) Akers, Madison Blackford, Carson Blackford, Aiden Roush, Nicholas Roush, Leslie Arthur, Brett Arthur, one grandchild due in January, Arabella Roush; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Agnes) Roush; brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy (Mickee) Fry, Darrell Fry, Rick (Cindy) Fry, Frances (Garland) Montgomery, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford, with Garland Montgomery officiating. The burial will be in South Webster Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
