An upset grandpa called just before midnight to report that his granddaughter had stolen his Ford F150. He said she was driving toward Portsmouth to see a boyfriend. The girl’s mother called to report that a protection order had been placed barring the boyfriend from seeing the underage girl.
An officer stopped the truck just as the girl was pulling up at the boyfriend’s house and took the young woman into custody.
The girl was released into the custody of her mother.
