A frightening incident happened overnight at Sonora Mexican Grill on Grandview Avenue overnight. Someone broke in and turned on the gas stoves in the empty kitchen.
Just after 1 am, an employee had responded to the restaurant for an open door alarm. When he arrived, he discovered that someone had turned off the electric breakers and turned on the gas stoves.
Later that day, when the restaurant checked the security video, they discovered that an employee had forgotten to lock the door when she left work shortly after 9 pm. Not long after that, a woman went into the closed restaurant and later left. She was wearing a flowered dress, and officers recognized her as a troubled homeless woman who frequently caused issues at local businesses. She was later spotted in the same outfit at Speedway.
Officers caught up with her at the Four Keys Inn and served her with a no-trespass order.
