John Perry Morris, 75, of South Webster, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday February 7, 2025. He was born May 13, 1949 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Leonard and Wilma Hughes Morris.
He was the a U.S. Army Veteran , a member of Wester Sun Masonic Lodge #91, Aladdin Shriners and the former VFW #3638 in Sciotoville. He was the former owner /operator of Country Bumpkin Trucking, retired from OSCO Industries and enjoyed spending time in his garage.
John is survived by two daughters, Donna Renae Roberts and husband Curtis of Pooler, GA. and Johnda Rochelle Radcliff and husband David of South Webster; a sister Connie Smith of South Webster, James Lawson who was like a son to him; grandchildren, Jerry, Jessica, Chelsea, Curtis Jr, Lexie, Nevah, Joshua, Brantley and Helena along with 9 great grandchildren and his dog Scutter.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Monday February 10, 2025 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Bryan Carmon officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Sunday with Masonic Services at 7 PM. Interment will follow funeral services on Monday with graveside Military Honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion officiating.
