Johnny Lynn Evans, 80 of Stout, died Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at his home. He was born April 30, 1943, in Portsmouth, to the late Clyde and Betty McGinn Evans.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lindsey Keenan, and his grandparents, John and Lilly McGinn.
Johnny was an Army National Guard veteran. He spent 6 years working on the river and then retired after 36 years of service from AEP.
Johnny is survived by his wife Karen Richards Evans, whom he married on July 21 1967, a son George “Richie” Evans, a daughter Kimberly Sue Evans, a granddaughter, Georgia Noah Evans and 3 great-grandchildren: Logan, Lillie, and Lainey Keenan.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, February 26, 2024, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Tom Williams officiating. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery with military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.
