Kimberly Ann (Parker) Holsinger November 9,1960 – March 14, 2025 Kimberly Ann (Parker) Holsinger, 64, of Lucasville, Ohio, has officially relocated to the great beyond, where she hopes the Reds and Bengals finally start winning just for her (even though she was super bummed that her man, Sam Hubbard, retired from Cincinnati.)
A devoted mother and stepmother, she leaves behind Kristen Holsinger Day (Patrick), Ryan Holsinger, and Darrin Holsinger (Charline), and bonus kids, Nathan Hersman, Ricky Thomas, Nathan Holsinger, Megan Holsinger, Keith Anderson, Staci Anderson, Nicole Bice, Zach Vanhoose, and Shellie Bennett, who will now have to figure out life without her unsolicited (but usually correct) advice.
She was preceded in death by her beloved stepson, Shane Holsinger and mother to her grandsons, Desiree Baker. Kimberly’s heart extended beyond her immediate family, embracing her cherished grandchildren- Nan to Devon, Gracy, Hannah (& Hayden), Dee Dee (& Mason), Landon, Gunnar, Nolan, and Rees, and most importantly, Miss Maris-who were truly the lights of her life. She also leaves behind her loving sister, Pamela Parker Ricer, and sister-in-law, Patricia Holsinger Havens, as well as many nieces and nephews, whether by blood or by love, all of whom will deeply mourn her passing. She now rests with those she loved and missed dearly, including her husband and soulmate, Mike Holsinger, her brothers, Terry, Theron, and Gordon, her grandson, Gabe, and her parents, Stanley and Irene (Fletcher) Parker. Kimberly lived her life with warmth and humor, finding comfort in a good rom-com or tearjerker, cheering on the Reds, Buckeyes (GO BUCKS!), and Bengals, and treasuring time spent with family.
She lived with love, laughter, and just the right amount of sarcasm. Her love, kindness, and unwavering spirit will remain in the hearts of those who knew her (she was stubborn til the end.) She rooted for the underdog, was fiercely supportive of marginalized groups, which runs through the entire Parker family. She was freakishly good at remembering pop culture trivia and loved music. She loved all kinds of music, but really loved Motown and classic rock (a love which she passed on to her kids.) We just know she’s dancing with dad and making fun of “The Homer,” which was his signature move.
Kristen and Ryan would like to extend a special thank you to the providers and staff at SOMC Intensive Care Unit, Respiratory Therapy, and Palliative Care for their excellent service to our mother. Your kindness was so appreciated, and we are forever grateful for your care and attention to our mom.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Until then, she’d want you to know that she’s fine, you don’t need to make a fuss-but she does expect you to miss her.
