Larry William Aldridge, 71, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Community Hospice in the Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. He was born May 5, 1953 in Portsmouth, to the late Willard and Phyllis (Clifford) Aldridge.
Larry was a Vietnam Army Veteran and after serving his country, he went on to work and later retire from the Precision Strip in Kenton, Ohio. He was a life-long member of the Am Vets and former member of the New Boston Eagles and the American Legion, James Dickey Post #23.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Richard Aldridge and two sisters, Patty Schuyler and Sandra Moore.
Larry is survived by his wife, Patricia (Bloomfield) Aldridge, his children, Jimmy Aldridge, Olathe Ks, Raymond Aldridge of Concordia Ks, Jason Aldridge (Melissa) of McGuffy, OH, Ramon Daines, (Bobby) Concordia Ks, Shara Meyer (Jason) of Weatherford Tx, and Crystal Kennard, of Koppel Tx, his step-sons, Donald, and Timmy Bressler, of Kenton, Johnny Bressler (Chelsey) of Harrod, two sisters, Barbara Crisp of Martin, KY and Jennie Hale of Franklin Furnace, a sister-in-law, Connie Aldridge of Portsmouth, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be 1:00 pm Monday, December 16, 2024 at Sciotoville Church of the Nazarene, 518 Sycamore Street in Sciotoville (Portsmouth) if using the GPS . Military Honors will be presented by the American Legion, James Dickey Post #23. A visitation for friends and relatives will be one hour before the service on Monday.
