Officers booked Bryon Myers into the Scioto County Jail early Saturday morning on some very serious charges.
He was charged with compelling prostitution and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
So far, there’s nothing in the local court records to indicate any details of what prompted Myers’ arrest. Under Ohio law, a compelling prostitution charge means compelling a minor to engage in sexual activity for hire, whether or not the offender knows the age of the minor or compelling a person the offender believes to be a minor to engage in sexual activity for hire, whether or not the person is a minor.
Myers, a 34-year-old Proctorville resident faced charges of felonious assault, failure to comply, and obstructing official business back in July of 2022. He pleaded guilty to the failure to comply charge and was sentenced to probation. However, Lawrence County Common Pleas Court issued a warrant for his arrest on March 14.
