Man Arrested for Impersonating a Police Officer
Portsmouth Police took a 43-year-old man into custody on some serious charges on Monday.
Officers charged Donald Bradley with Retaliation and Impersonating a Peace Officer.
He was arraigned on February 28, and bail was set at $100,000. He’s scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Judge Kegley on March 9.
Bradley’s only previous arrests in Scioto County are for domestic violence incidents back in 2010.
Roommate Feud Leads to Man’s 30th Arrest
A feud between Portsmouth roommates ended up with one of the roomies behind bars for the 30th. Just after 10 am, officers responded to a home for a report that a woman was hit by her male roommate.
Police said both parties claimed they had been assaulted, but they could not determine who the aggressor was. The pair agreed to separate and cool off.
However, two hours later officers were back on the scene when the pair began arguing again. Police took the male roommate into custody for assault and probation violation.
This was his 30th trip to the Scioto County Jail. Previous arrests include probation violation back on January 26, trafficking in heroin, domestic violence, theft, contempt, DUI, Drug Abuse, fugitive from justice and dozens of counts of probation violation.
Homeless Throw Down Over 11th Street Corner
Two homeless panhandlers got into it Monday afternoon over who had the right to panhandle on the corner near Supreme Pest Control.
Just before 5 pm, officers received a report of a homeless man and woman arguing in a parking lot. When police arrived on the scene, they explained that they were arguing over which one of them would get to ask for money on the corner.
Police advised them to stop fighting and move along.
Man Found Living in Needle-Filled Garage
Officers in search of a suicidal man discovered a dangerous living situation on 7th Street.
Just before 5 pm, a woman called officers to report her boyfriend was suicidal had taken 25 Trazodone. She told officers they could find him in the garage behind a 7th Street home.
Police didn’t find the man, but they did discover that someone had been living inside the garage with a tent and a mattress and that the filthy garage was littered with needles and caps.
