Officers arrested a man after they said he viciously attacked his own father in the family home. Just after 8 pm, officers responded to a Pedro Ohio home after a call that an adult son was attacking his father.
When they got to the scene, they met with the suspect’s parents and observed a large knot on the father’s head. The father suffers multiple illnesses, including Parkinson’s disease and diabetes.
He said their mentally ill son had attacked him in the kitchen, punching him in the head multiple times. The mother said that when she’d pulled the son off the father, he begged her to say nothing about the incident.
Officers found the suspect smoking a cigarette in his room. He said that he’d accidentally gotten into a fight with his father but could not say why.
Police arrested him for domestic violence.
