Officers arrested Benton Comer on four counts of domestic threats and one count of aggravated menacing after responding to a report of domestic threats just before 8 pm.
Witnesses said an ex-boyfriend came to a woman’s house and threatened to kill her, her friends, and her kids. The man said he’d taken a bunch of pills and planned to return with a gun.

Officers initially couldn’t find the suspect, but they spoke to his parents, who told police the man had recently purchased a gun.
Deputies managed to catch up with him about an hour later and took him into custody.
