A Deputy headed to a report of a possible overdose just after noon and learned that EMS workers had already revived the patient with Narcan.
The victim’s wife said the man ingested something from a pill bottle. When the officer checked it out, he noticed the medication was prescribed to someone else.

The overdose victim said he’d taken the medicine from his sister without her knowledge. Officers noted it was a Schedule IV controlled substance and took it into evidence.
Around 7 pm, officers investigated another pill overdose. The man said he’d gotten the prescription medicine from a guy in Huntington whose name he didn’t know. The officer offered him a pamphlet with information on where to get help for his drug problem.
