EMS and Officers rushed to a Lucasville home after a report of an overdose. The caller said a man was not breathing and had turned purple.
Medics administered Narcan to revive him, however, once he woke up, he fled the scene before officers arrived.
Police and EMS headed to Oakwood Avenue a few hours later for a report of a man overdosing. EMS workers transported the man to the hospital.
EMS Responds After Rubyville Overdose
Multiple EMS units headed to the scene after a report of an overdose in Rubyville. Witnesses said the victim was unresponsive.
Clay VFD acknowledged a page from dispatch and requested additional EMTs also respond to the scene. Unlike several recent cases where no EMTs were available for serious situations, multiple units were able to get to the residence.
However, the patient refused medical treatment and did not want to go to the hospital.
