Man Rushed to Hospital After Drinking Motor Oil 

Just before 5 pm, officers responded to 4th and Court Streets for a report of a man drinking a quart of motor oil. 

When EMS and officers arrived on the scene, they learned the man had drunk a mixture of motor oil and transmission fluid.  

While the man was not responsive, he was breathing. An ambulance transported him to the hospital for treatment.  

Nodding Out at the McDonald’s Drive-Thru 

Police responded to McDonald’s just after 11 pm, after a caller reported a man slumped over in a pickup truck in the drive-thru.  

Officers issued the man a citation, took him into custody, and arranged to have his vehicle towed.  

He called for a friend to come to get him, but was unsure if the friend would be able to come back to get him. Officers said they had no option but to advise the man to go to the VA and ask for help in the morning. 

Stolen Motorcycle Recovered on 5th Street 

Just before midnight, a caller reported spotting a motorcycle hidden behind a vacant building on 5th Street. They said it appeared someone was trying to stash the vehicle. 

The officer retrieved the bike and discovered that it had been reported stolen earlier. They attempted to contact the owner and impounded the bike.
