A mother and son both ended up behind bars after officers responded to a 911 call.
The woman called 911 to report that she and her son had hit each other and that the son was now outside hitting the house.
When officers arrived, they found the boy sitting outside in the driveway next to his tearful mom. She told the officers she’d gone to a football game to look for her son because she thought he was playing. However, when she got there, she found he wasn’t playing but instead ran around with his girlfriend.
When he got home, she called him out for lying and tried to take his phone. When she shoved him, she said he put up his fist and squared up with her and told her not to hit him; then things got physical.
The son said she hit him first and then started punching him.
Police arrested both. They booked the mom into the Lawrence County Jail and the son into the Lawrence County Juvenile Detention Center.
