A worried daughter contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to ask for a welfare check on her mother and an escort to pick up the family dogs.
She said that after her mother had attempted to take her two siblings and leave her boyfriend, but the man had threatened to kill her and burn her trailer down.
Officers spoke to the mom she said she’d had the police out to the home twice, but each time they just dropped the man off somewhere else, and he returned. She said he kicked in her door and, refused to let her leave the home, and also threatened to kill her dogs.
Officers took statements from the victims, who were staying at a local hotel, and went to search for the suspect. However, they could not locate him. The search continues.
