An upset dog owner called 911 at 5:30 pm to report his dog was running loose and got onto a neighbor’s property on Carey’s Run-Pond Creek Road. The man said the woman shot his dog, and he wanted to talk to an officer.
Dispatch explained they could send out a deputy, but the neighbor is allowed to defend her property, and they wouldn’t be charged as his dog was running loose.
The man said he understood and hung up the phone.
