A woman called 911 and asked deputies to check in on her disabled mother, who she said was acting strangely. The daughter explained her mother had become disabled after a motorcycle accident and had a severe brain injury and that her mother’s husband was an abusive alcoholic.
When officers went to investigate, the woman told them that her husband becomes abusive when he drinks and that he’d hit over the weekend.

Officers called for an ambulance to check the woman out and advised the woman about options for a protection order. EMS said the woman seemed okay.
Family members said they would assist the woman in filing a protection order.
