manhunt

Scioto County Sheriff Deputies responded to a Pleasant Avenue home after a woman called 911 to say her boyfriend choked her out and wouldn’t allow her to leave the house. She said he chased her with a hammer and said he wasn’t afraid to go back to prison.

When officers arrived on the scene, they saw the man running up a hill away from them and he refused to stop when they told him to show his hands.

Officers learned the woman was off her medication and said she was behaving in a manic fashion. Deputies sent for an ambulance but had issues getting a squad to respond.
