Deputies practiced some community policing after a man with medical issues called for a helping hand.
He told them he’d recently lost a leg and was home alone because his wife was working out of town. She’d taken the garbage out early.
However, the wind had whipped up, and it was disturbing the neighbors. He asked if officers could move the can out of the way and put it closer to his garage so it didn’t bother anyone.
Officers moved the trash, and the man called back later to thank them for their help.
