Ora Hester Witten, 72, of Greenup, KY, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Wurtland Nursing and Rehab in Wurtland, KY. She was born in Garrison, KY, on December 5, 1953, a daughter of the late John and Frona Liles Witten.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, June Horsley and Judy Shordt; and one brother-in-law, Ron Horsley.
Left behind to cherish her memory are three nieces, Pam (Micah) Lewis of Garrison, KY, Amy (Shane) Simpson of South Shore, KY, and Jennifer King of Portsmouth, OH; along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 6 P.M. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with Hayden Hunt officiating. A private inurnment will be at Waring Cemetery in Garrison, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5 P.M. until 6 P.M.
