Johanna Grimme McGraw, 97 of Franklin Furnace, died Saturday, August 8, 2026 . She was born August 4, 1929 in Neisse, Germany, to the late Erwin and Anna Baumgard Grimme.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Frederick McGraw, whom she married on January 14, 1953 in Bamberg, Germany, 2 brothers; Walter Grimme and Hubert Grimme and 2 sisters; Christel Fuchshuber and Briggette Paulus.
Johanna retired as the Club House manager of Ironton Country Club and also retired from Pepsi. She was a member of Saint Peters and Chains Catholic Church and also attended Saint Mary’s in Pine Grove, Ohio.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna J. Boyd of Ironton, a son Raymond C. McGraw of Hillsboro, a brother Horst Grimme of Hochstadt, Germany, a sister, Heidi Niedermeier of Kallmunz, Germany, 2 granddaughters; Angela and Kevin Risner and Carrie and Danny Knight both of Wheelersburg, and a great granddaughter, Madison Knight of Wheelersburg.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Monday, August 10, 2026 at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott with Father Michael Fulton officiating. Friends and family will gather at the cemetery starting at 12:30.
