At 6 am, Officers responded to a Farley Square Apartment for a report of a domestic disturbance between Shayla Jones and Timothy Lovett. Police advised the pair to keep it down.
Around 7 pm, Jones called the police to say Lovett was under the influence and had threatened her. However, she didn’t want to file a police report. Officers offered her the number for the domestic violence task force, but she refused. They also explained the steps for getting a protection order.
Later that night, just after 2 am, a caller called 9-1-1 to report a woman was trying to get into his car and that Timothy Lovett had assaulted her.
When officers arrived on the scene, they took Lovett and Shayla Jones into custody and called PMHA to resecure the apartment.
Police booked Lovett into the Scioto County Jail on charges of endangering children and aggravated menacing. Officers charged Jones with child endangering.
