Portsmouth Police took two parolees into custody, including a convicted sex offender, at a Summit Street residence just after 2 pm after a parole officer asked for assistance serving a warrant.
Officers detained two men and called for an ambulance for one of them. Police booked David Evans and Andrew Evans into the Scioto County Jail on parole violation charges.
Andrew Evans, 23, was convicted of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and sentenced to prison back in May of 2024. He was released on parole five months later. David Evans, 38, was convicted on two counts of felonious assault involving a gun in 2016.
