Patricia Ann “Patty” Flannery Thompson, 72 of West Portsmouth, went with the Angels Friday, March 28, 2025 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born April 4, 1952 at Smith Everett Hospital in Portsmouth, Ohio to her beloved parents, the late James Melvin and Norma E. Williams Flannery.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Pamela K. Flannery.
Her interests were many, but she enjoyed reading and searching down her genealogy. She was always coming up with someone or something new to add to her family history. Her most favorite hobby was visiting Civil War Battlefields. She was raised in the Baptist Church, with Mabert Road Baptist being her home Church, where she was greatly involved in the choir.
Patty is survived by her husband, Ron E. Thompson of West Portsmouth, whom she married on June 24, 1972, her cherished daughter Elizabeth Ann Thompson of West Portsmouth, who was the light of her life, 2 brothers; Michael James (Vernita) Flannery of Sciotoville and Thomas David (Laura) Flannery of California and a sister, Davida Jane Flannery of Portsmouth. Patty also had a family by choice, 3 sons; Michael James Flannery Jr., George D. Spriggs and Paul (Harley) Stevens, 3 sisters; Martha Spriggs, Ruth Hood Maddox and Octie Hoffman, along with many nieces and nephews and cousins and 2 God children; Matthew and Rebecca.
Visitation for Patty will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00PM on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
