Pregnant Teen Assaulted in Farley Square
Officers responded to a local hospital after a pregnant 14-year-old reported that she had been assaulted twice in the past two weeks.
The girl said the first assault happened two weeks ago in Farley Square and that she was assaulted a second time the day before.
Police searched for a suspect at an address provided by the victim but could not locate them.
Angry Parents Ready To Kick Butt on 6th Street
A pair of angry parents rolled up on a man on 6th Street and threatened to “whoop his ass.” Just after 1 am, a man contacted Portsmouth Police to say a man and woman had rolled up on him while he was walking near 6th and Brown Streets.
He said they accused him of doing something to their daughter, and they followed him down the street, screaming and making threats until they finally went away. He denied their accusations.
He declined to file a criminal report, but officers advised him on the process of filing a protection order.
Grandma Reports Missing Child
A worried grandmother contacted officers at 11 pm to report her grandson had gone missing .
She said the boy had been missing around 8:30 pm and was wearing a black hoodie and riding a red bicycle.
Officers checked a location to search for the boy, but no one answered the door. Police took information for a report.
Officers Come To Aid of Homeless Camper
Officers attempted to offer help to a homeless woman who had been camping out behind the Second Presbyterian Church on Waller Street, but didn’t have much luck.
Police said it was clear that she had some mental health issues, however they were not severe enough that she was unable to care for herself.
She refused offers of medical treatment and turned down assistance from police in getting into a homeless shelter.
Under the Influence at Kroger
Just after 6 pm, witnesses reported a man acting as if he were on drugs at the Kroger on Gay Street.
Officers and medics responded to the scene. Medics treated the man, and he agreed to go with the drug response team for treatment.
