Randall Scott Swords, 58, of Wellston, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at The Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on October 20, 1962, in Scioto County, Ohio, the son of the late William “Bill” or “Bob” Clarence and Donna Raye (Humphrey) Swords. A Christian by faith, Scott attended LifeSource Apostolic Church in Wellston. He loved the Word of God and witnessing to his friends and neighbors about the goodness of Jesus Christ. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his children: Misty (James) Ellison, Rocky Swords, Timay Swords, Joseph (Breana) Swords, Mendy (Terry) Shaffer, Mandy Swords, and Seth Swords, 13 grandchildren; sister, Terri Thacker; brothers, Tim (Kim), Ricky Ray, William “Bill” Swords II, and Michael; as well as several nieces and nephews, and his beloved beagle companion, Daisy
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his son, Randall Scott Swords, Jr.
A graveside service celebrating Scott’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Gallia Cemetery, Patriot, with Pastor Michael Jadrnicek officiating.
