Portsmouth officers responded to multiple reports of thefts, including a rehab patient who said she was ripped off.
Just after 8 am, employees at the Super Quick reported a man in a cam jacket shoplifted several items, got into a black Jeep with a dealer plate, and drove off. Officers took information for a report.
Around 10 am, a patient at a local rehab facility told officers someone stole her debit card over the weekend and made several transactions. The victim suspected that two fellow patients who left the facility against medical advice might have the card. She admitted she didn’t see them take it. Police took information for a report.
A man contacted officers at 1 pm to report a case of identity theft. However, since the actual theft occurred in the county, police told him to call the Sheriff’s Office.
At 2 pm, a caller told police she was walking near 4th and Chillicothe when a guy jumped out of a car, stole her purse, and then drove off. Police took information for a report.
