A Gallia Street resident made a surprising discovery – a wanted man had been living in his basement. The man had been able to come and go since the access to the basement was outside from the backyard.
When police arrived at the home, they discovered Otis Daughtery already had open warrants. Officers arrested him for possessing drug abuse instruments and probation violation. This was Daughtery’s 10th trip to the jail. Previous charges include multiple counts of theft, probation violation, and escape, as well as receiving stolen property, and domestic violence.
Officers booked him into the Scioto County Jail.
