Shawnee State University has done it again. For the fifth year in a row, the college was chosen by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best colleges in the country.
The school earned high marks for its efforts to get disadvantaged kids into college and help them find funding. Many of SSU’s students are the first generation in their families to pursue higher education.
The magazine also commended SSU for its full range of degree offerings, including master’s and doctoral programs.
The Occupational Therapy program was ranked among the best graduate degrees in the country. The school was also selected by Princeton Review for having one of the best game design programs in the country. This is the 13th year in a row, they received that honor.
SSU President Dr. Eric Braun said, “These types of rankings confirm what we and our students experience every day.”
