SVU Busts Wheelersburg Man for Rape of 9-year-old Child
The Scioto County Special Victims Unit led the investigation that culminated in the arrest of a 21-year-old Wheelersburg man for raping a 9-year-old child.
According to Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman, CPS contacted his office on Wednesday afternoon to report a sexual assault against a child.
Detective Jodi Conkel led the SVU investigation that resulted in the arrest of 21-year-old Shannon Ray Bobst of Wheelersburg.
Deputies took Bobst into custody on two counts of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition. Bobst is currently in the Scioto County Jail on a $2220,000 bond. He is due in court on Friday morning.
