A family on Germany Hollow Road called 911 after they spotted a shirtless, tattooed stranger on their porch. They said he was now looking into cars and was headed toward Lick Run.

Officers caught up with the man about 10 minutes later. He explained he’d wrecked his four-wheeler. Deputies gave him a ride to Goose Creek and his wrecked vehicle and took information for a crash report.

About an hour later, a woman on Lick Run Lyra Road called 911 to say a man had parked his truck in her driveway for a few days and stolen an ATV. Now, she said the man was at her home threatening to kill himself.

Officers spoke on the phone to the man’s girlfriend, who said he’d been stranded there for over 24 hours and had threatened to harm himself if she didn’t pick him up. The girlfriend said she would come to get him.

The man eventually found his keys and left. Officers left the ATV at the scene of the wreck and advised the owner to file a theft report in the morning.
