A late-night disturbance involving a motorcycle and a burning trash can ended with Portsmouth Police taking a wanted man into custody.
Officers were called to the Marathon station on Gallia Street around 2:30 a.m. on October 29 after a report that a man in a brown jacket had caused a disturbance and set a trash can on fire. The fire was already out, but the man was reportedly still on the property with an orange motorcycle.
Police took Dylan Kennedy into custody a short time later.
Kennedy was arrested on a warrant accusing him of being a fugitive from justice and was booked into the Scioto County Jail. The motorcycle was also towed from the scene.
Court records show Kennedy had previously been arrested in October on charges including speeding, obstructing official business, and failure to comply. He was also arrested in April on a criminal trespass charge.
Kennedy later appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court and waived extradition to another jurisdiction.
