Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies dealt with multiple cases of people who just refused to leave businesses. The first call came in just before 8 am. The manager at the Super 8 on US23 said there was a man there who refused to leave despite repeated requests.
Officers spoke to the man, who admitted he didn’t have a room, he was just looking for a friend. Officers advised him to go, and he complied.
An hour later, a caller said someone had set up camp at the Wheelersburg Flea Market. Officers advised that man to leave also. He said he was having car trouble but agreed to make arrangements to move his things.
