Wanted Woman Arrested in Mound Park 

An officer spotted a woman with an open warrant near the tennis court in Mound Park just before 6 pm.  

Officers took the woman into custody for an open warrant through PPD and transported her to the jail. 

At 6:30 pm, police responded to Portsmouth Senior Lofts for a report of woman acting strangely in a blue van.  

When officers investigated, they discovered a woman with an open warrant from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office. Police took her to jail on the warrant. She was booked and immediately released. 

Kroger Employees Report Aggressive Trespasser 

Officers dealt with multiple incidents of suspicious and aggressive behavior in the late evening hours. 

Just before 11 pm, witnesses reported a man riding a bike looking into cars on 6th Street. When officers spoke to the man, he said he was homeless and had no place to go.  

At 11 pm, Kroger employees reported that the man had acted aggressively and threatening towards employees, and they wanted him removed from the property.  

Police took the man into custody and arranged for a crisis response team to offer him assistance. PPD served the man with a no-trespass order, and he left the scene with a counselor.  

At 11:23 pm, a woman told officers a van full of kids followed her from the McDonald’s drive-thru to the BP while yelling at her and harassing her.  

An officer in the area witnessed the incident and spoke to all parties involved.
