Portsmouth Police arrested a 26-year-old woman for felonious assault after a stabbing on Argonne Road.
Witnesses reported people arguing in the street in the 2100 block of Argonne just after 10 pm. When officers arrived on the scene, they detained a man who told officers a woman had stabbed him in the back and walked off south on Argonne. Police quickly caught up with the woman and took her into custody.
Police sent for an ambulance for the man and began their search for the suspect. Medics transported the man to SOMC ER for treatment, and officers headed to the hospital to get his statement.
Officers took Michaela Manns to the station and executed two search warrants in a home. Police charged Manns with felonious assault and tampering with evidence and booked her into the Scioto County Jail.
Manns has two previous arrests for disorderly conduct.
