Portsmouth Police Officers responded to Tim Horton’s just before 7 pm for what they initially feared was a sex offense.
A woman told officers that a homeless man had harassed and touched her. Police went looking for the man in Tracy Park but were unable to locate him.
After speaking with the woman, they determined that because of where the homeless man touched her, this would not amount to a case of gross sexual imposition.
Portsmouth Officers make frequent checks of Tracy Park in an attempt to keep issues with homeless individuals setting up camp and using drugs there under control.
