A woman caused disturbances at multiple local churches on Sunday. Officers got the first call at 3:30 pm. A woman called police to say that members of St. Mary’s Church on 5th Street were blocking her from the building, even though she should be allowed in.
When officers responded, they learned from churchgoers that the woman had been screaming and claiming she had a sister that worked at the White House. She appeared to be mentally ill, so members did not want to press charges. However, they did want her to leave. Church leaders chose not to trespass her. They said she could come in next week and talk to someone.
Ninety minutes later, the same woman turned up at Holy Redeemer on Gallia and was also acting strangely. Church leaders chose to trespass her from St. Mary’s, St. Peter’s, Holy Redeemer, and all Notre Dame Schools.
