Officers responded to an unusual panhandling situation in the 800 block of Gay Street at 2:30 pm. Witnesses said a woman was attempting to sell Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pajamas to those who passed by and kept getting angry and cussing people out when they wouldn’t buy them.
When officers arrived at the scene, they learned the woman had just been released from the jail on a disorderly conduct charge. Officers noted she had mental health issues.

Police offered to find help for her, but she refused. They advised her not to bother people.
