Multiple women ended up behind bars over the weekend for violent incidents.
Portsmouth Police arrested a woman for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a domestic incident at 17th and Waller. Just after 7 pm, witnesses reported that a man and woman had gotten into a physical altercation in front of a child.
When officers arrived on the scene, they took the woman into custody on an open warrant, but it didn’t go smoothly. Police said she banged her head against the window. Officers booked her into the Scioto County Jail for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Just an hour later, a woman called officer to her Wayne Hills Apartment to report her ex-wife had been threatening her. Police took the ex into custody for domestic violence and transported her to the Scioto County Jail.
Officers got another domestic disturbance call at 3:30 am and headed to a 7th Street apartment. Police said the male half of the altercation had obvious signs of injury, but the man refused to file any type of report against the woman. He decided to stay the night with her against police advice.
At 2:30 am, officers were called to the Party Time Bar for a report of a large fight outside the business. Police took two women into custody for disorderly conduct. Officers picked up a third woman just down the street about an hour later. Alexandria Escamilla, Jamie Morris, and Corey Robinson were all charged with disorderly conduct.
Police were back to the apartments the next evening for a report that one of the residents had been threatening management.
