The Scioto County and Portsmouth City Health Department have confirmed 18 additional local deaths in connection with the COVID-19 virus during the month of September.

- 73-year old male that passed on September 14th
- 45-year old female that passed on September 16th
- 36-year old female that passed on September 16th
- 71-year old female that passed on September 19th
- 79-year old male that passed on September 20th
- 76-year old female that passed on September 21st
- 77-year old female that passed on September 22nd
- 68-year old female that passed on September 23rd
- 54-year old male that passed on September 24th
- 81-year old female that passed on September 24th
- 83-year old male that passed on September 24th
- 61-year old male that passed on September 25th
- 57-year old female that passed on September 27th
- 88-year old male that passed on September 28th
- 82-year old female that passed on September 28th
- 78-year old female that passed on September 30th
- 66-year old female that passed on September 30th
The deaths bring the total to 139 local residents that have passed either from or with the COVID-19 virus.
The Scioto EMA and the health departments offered sincere condolences to the families.
