Sharon Purdy, 78, of Chillicothe, OH. passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at her residence. She was born in South Portsmouth, KY, on December 6, 1947, and was a daughter of the late Clayton and Ollie Setters Austin.
Sharon worked for the state of Ohio as a registered nurse and retired after 25 years. She was also an avid dog lover.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Purdy, and one sister, Jacqueline Austin.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Gerald Prise and Kevin Prise both of Portsmouth, OH; one daughter, Teresa (Larry) Tackett of Load, KY; five grandchildren, Larry, Courtney, Garrett, Stacey and Kevin; four great-grandchildren, Dallas, Davi, Jayden and Tavyn; two brothers, Reny (Rose) Austin of Stow, OH. and Lou Moreiras of Twinsburg, OH; one sister, Mary (Dennis) Szydlowski of Cleveland, OH. along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Graveside services will be at 12 P.M. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY. with Donny McKenzie officiating. Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, are caring for arrangements.
