In turbulent times when many people are demanding big changes to the way law enforcement operates, local kids and businesses have gone out of their way to show their support for officers who do things the right way. Check out these seven slides of treats dropped off for area officers.
Welcome Aboard
On Wednesday, Downtown Portsmouth businesses dropped off lunch and a thank you proclamation to officially welcome Chief Debby Brewer.
American Family Insurance, Citizens Bank, DESCO Federal Credit Union, Diamond Gem Lending, Fifth Third Bank, Goodwill, Holiday Inn, The Lofts Coffee, Morgan Brothers Jewelers, People’s Bank, Staker’s Drugs, and The Ritz teamed up to treat the chief and officers.
Lady Mohawks
The Lady Mohawks Volleyball team dropped off a snack basket to some appreciative PPD Officers on Wednesday. On a side note, I’m really digging that sleeve of tattoos on the left.
More Mohawk Goodies
The volleyball team also stopped by the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff said, ” It is a great feeling knowing that the people in our community think enough about us to do these special things. It is very uplifting during these troubled times for law enforcement around the country.”
Appreciative of Support
The Northwest players didn’t forget New Boston police officers. The department thanked them online, saying, “You ladies are very kind and are excellent representatives of our community. We are very appreciative for your support and for the water and snacks.”
Junior Deputy Cane
Young Baker
Cane isn’t the only generous young baker in Greenup County, Young Reagan also stopped by the office to drop off some homemade goodies.
Heroes Work Here
Youngsters from the Waverly Baptist Temple Youth Group dropped off snacks and a homemade banner at the Waverly Police Department. Officers liked the banner so much, they hung it up inside the station.
