Cops Taser Violent Man at SOMC
Just after 5 pm, Portsmouth Police responded to a report of a violent man who refused to leave Southern Ohio Medical Center.
When officers arrived on the scene, the suspect refused to comply, and police were forced to deploy a stun gun to subdue him.
Police arrested a 44-year-old man on charges of assault, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest. This was his 11th trip to the Scioto County Jail.
Previous charges included domestic violation, endangering children, drug abuse, violating a protection order, driving under the influence, petty theft, and driving without a license.
Police booked him into the Scioto County Jail, where he was immediately released per the court.
