Broke Man Flips Out at Wheelersburg Bank
Deputies responded to a Wheelersburg bank after an employee said a man lost control after learning his account balance.
The manager wanted to trespass the man, who appeared to be high and possibly had a firearm. He attempted to withdraw money from his account and became very agitated when tellers told him he didn’t have any money.
The man screamed at tellers before leaving the premises. Officers said they would contact the man and inform him he’d been trespassed.
Suspicious Person Spotted on Grant Bridge
Just after 4 am on Friday morning, a caller reported a suspicious person on the Grant Bridge. The caller said the man was looking over the railing.
Officers responded to the bridge and checked both sides hoping to locate the man. They did not see anyone on the bridge.
Gun Stolen From 6th Street Home
At 8 am, a 6th Street caller reported his 9 mm pistol was stolen overnight. He told police he suspected a relative had taken the gun as she was also missing.
The man also said he feared the relative was both homicidal and suicidal but said he did not know where they might have gone. Officers took information for a report.
The man called back at 9:21 am to say his relative had returned and left his gun in the mailbox. He no longer wanted to file a report.
