Just after 1:35 am, deputies pulled over a vehicle on Big Run Road. Officers thought the driver might be intoxicated, so they called in OSP for a sobriety test.
They learned the driver had an open warrant from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office and that the tags on the vehicle were fake. Officers arranged to have the vehicle towed and also seized and destroyed some drugs discovered in the vehicle.
Police took the driver into custody for a probation violation and booked him into the Scioto County Jail. This was Michael Scott Butcher’s 13th trip to the Scioto County Jail.
Previous arrests include probation violation, petty theft, failure to comply, theft, criminal trespass, OVI, possession of drugs, contempt, drug abuse, and carrying a concealed weapon.
