On any given day, local law enforcement officers receive multiple reports of missing kids, most of them are runaways who have voluntarily left home but could still be in some real danger.
Just after 3 p.m., deputies received a call that a juvenile missing from Adams County was suspected to be at a Lucasville address.
The family advised the girl likely had a vehicle that was registered to her father. A deputy went to the scene to investigate and found the girl unharmed.
They contacted Adams County, and the child’s parents said they did not wish to press charges but did want to come pick up their daughter.
A deputy stood by until the parents arrived to retrieve the girl and the vehicle. Officers removed her from the missing persons database.
