Law enforcement officials spend a lot of time responding to traffic accidents, though fortunately most of them do not involve serious injuries.
Just after 2 p.m., the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office got a report of a traffic jam near Haverhill-Ohio Furnace Road after a vehicle drove off a bridge.
The Ohio State Patrol and EMS responded to the scene, but by the time they got there, the people in the vehicle had taken off.
At 9:30 a.m., PPD responded to a report of an accident at 8th and Chillicothe Streets. Officers arranged to have the vehicle towed and wrote a crash report.
At 11:40 a.m., Franklin Avenue residents reported someone had wrecked a silver Nissan and left it in the street. Officers issued a parking citation and arranged to have the vehicle towed.
