There are bad boyfriends, and then there are bad boyfriends who threaten to burn down your mom’s house and try to run you off the road.
Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a case involving the latter in the early hours of Sunday morning. Just before 3 a.m., a South Webster woman told 9-1-1 that her daughter’s boyfriend had made threats to burn down her house and assault her.
Officers went in search of the man, but they found the caller first and attempted to smash out the window of her Jeep. She said the man appeared to be high on drugs.
She later called back to say he was attempting to run her off the road, but she was too scared to stop.
Officers caught up with Jacob Cook near the Freewill Baptist Church on St. Rt. 140 and took him into custody for aggravated menacing.
