The family that drinks together sometimes gets into violent domestic situations. Officers took a man into custody for shoving his stepfather down after things got out of hand at a home on St. Rt. 243.
When Lawrence County Deputies arrived on the scene, a man told them his stepson had shoved him down, causing a cut on his right arm.
Officers observed several family members drinking together at the kitchen table. When they tried to put the cuffs on the stepson, he became very angry and claimed the stepfather had caused his own injury. Police noted that the stepson seemed very intoxicated.
Officers said the victim appeared to be the only one in the house who wasn’t drinking. Police arrested the son for domestic violence and transported him to the Lawrence County Jail.
